2 cups all-purpose flour
½ oz sugar
3-4 cups milk
1 oz vegetable oil
In a large bowl, beat eggs, add milk, salt and sugar. Stir this well then add flour. Mix again very well. In a meantime, heat 1 oz of vegetable oil over medium heat. Make sure that oil spreads around the bottom of the skillet evenly and covers the bottom of it. The oil considered to be heated up and ready if a single drop of water will immediately boil in it. Using a large spoon pour batter on the frying pan and let it cover the whole bottom of your skillet. As soon as you notice that surface of a pancake does not look wet anymore, you need to turn it around so the top side will now face the bottom. A few seconds later, the pancake is ready. Repeat the same procedure over and over again until ran out of batter. The Russian style pancakes are usually served folded up along with jelly, jam, sour cream or melted butter.
