Heat a frying pan over medium heat and melt butter or margarine in it. When it is ready place sliced and chopped onion and fry it until it is golden brown. Add meat that is pre-cut in small pieces (about 1/2” x 1/2”), sprinkle it with flour and fry until slightly golden brown on both sides. Add two – two and a half cups of water or cream of mushroom bullion and simmer for about 1-1.5 hrs Remember that gulyash makes an excellent side dish but in order to make your dish complete, consider making mush potatoes or cook rice. Those are good options for serving gulyash.
