Roasted Duck with Apples

1 large duck (completely unthawed)
3 lb of any sort of apples
2 tablespoons butter
½ cup water
½ tablespoon salt
¼ tablespoon of pepper

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Wash the apples, peel them and remove the cores by cutting apples in half. Cut the duck in the middle, clean and wash thoroughly with cold water. Place the apple halves inside the duck. Place the duck in a frying pan with its back down. Add water and seasonings. Put the duck in the oven and fry for 2-3 hours (depends on a weight of the duck). After the duck is cooked, remove it from the oven, set aside to cool off. Take out the apples. Serve with buckwheat, boiled potatoes, etc; or you serve the "Duck with Apples" by itself.
